How to use the BIS-CATTLE Web server

The purpose of BIS-CATTLE is to predict the Cattle breed based on DNA Marker data. The Homepage has seven different tabs viz. Home, Submission, Methodology, Tutorial, Team, Links, FAQs.

To use the BIS-CATTLE Web-server to predict the Cattle breed, Submission tab needs to be used. Methodology tab gives the details of the procedures and algorithm used for the development of this web-server.

Tutorial page, Links, and FAQs are also available for assisting the users.

Input Methods

There are three different forms viz. Based on 18 loci, Best 10 loci, Best 5 loci which are accessible via three tabs on the Submission page. Appropriate form depending upon the availability of marker data can be chosen. Data can be input either by manually entering the data in the form or by uploading a .txt or .csv file with values (38 values for 18 loci form, 20 values for 10 loci form and 10 values for 5 loci form).
