HALOPHILES

This database contains the information of halophilic archaeal and bacterial proteins and their physicochemical properties, On the basis of environmental conditions of their habitat, microbes are classified into:

1. Neutrophiles - Require moderate conditions to survive.
2. Extremophiles - Survive in extreme conditions.
3. Acidophiles - Tolerate low pH conditions.
4. Alkaliphiles - Tolerate high pH conditions.
5. Thermophiles - Resist high temperature.
6. Psychrophilic bacteria - Survive extremely cold conditions.
7. Osmophiles - Survive in high sugar osmotic conditions.

Halophiles are extremophile organisms that thrive in environments with very high concentrations of salt.
