BioInfoKnowledgeBase is developed at NBAIM (ICAR), INDIA under "Establishment of National Agricultural Bioinformatics Grid (NABG)" project.

Establishment of National Agricultural Bioinformatics Grid (NABG) is one of the most ambitious National projects of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) funded by NAIP. Formally launched on 18th Sept., 2010 by Hon'ble Director General (ICAR) and Secretary (DARE) Dr. S. Ayyappan, the project entails the creation and advancement of databases, algorithms, computational and statistical techniques and theory to solve formal and practical problems arising from the management and analysis of biological data.

Lead Centre of NABG project is IASRI, New Delhi alongwith five domain Centres, which are NBPGR, New Delhi; NBAGR, Karnal; NBFGR, Lucknow; NBAIM, Mau; NBAII, Bangalore.

NBAIM i.e. National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms is one, among the five domain centers of the NABG. Further information can be obtained from official website of NBAIM.

The team of NABG at NBAIM is led by Dr. D. P. Singh, Senior Scientist who is also the CCPI of NABG project at NBAIM.

NABG presently have a fully furnished well-equipped lab at NBAIM with Wi-Fi technology.
